Scott shares how journalists and news organizations work through the challenges often presented by covering the news.

As first responders, journalists covering stories involving trauma will be exposed to emotional wounds. How can journalists cope effectively with these wounds and how can news organizations support them?

WITF is a nationally recognized leader among news organizations in its stand for facts amid misinformation and disinformation about American democracy and elections. Our approach differs from what is known as traditional “objective” journalism. Scott takes you behind the scenes of how and why WITF is advocating for democracy.

WITF is more focused than ever on listening to central Pennsylvanians and responding to what we hear with journalism that helps spotlight potential solutions to challenges faced by people and communities. Scott shares why WITF is doing this, and how it is changing our journalism.
