Let’s Discover

WITF immerses your family in all things intriguing, bridging the gap between curiosity and discovery.

From your first word to your latest hobby, we’ll take you along on a journey to explore it all. Nothing’s out of the question — let’s uncover how local farming uses new technology, get lost in a historical drama, learn how to build a value-based budget, and catch up with your favorite childhood PBS character (who has been on so many adventures since you last tuned in).

Because whatever you’re curious about, we wonder about it, too — and we’re on a mission to wonder about our world and maybe even figure it out.

Facing an overwhelming stream of news from numberless outlets, people tell us they’re looking for trustworthy, contextual journalism to empower them as they make decisions in their lives. WITF pledges to meet your high standards of what a credible media organization should be.

Education

WITF offers high-quality educational opportunities that reflect the rich diversity in our community. Our neighborhood is full of great places to learn and there’s always a chance to discover something new. You can learn with us in schools, libraries, community centers, ballparks, theaters, colleges, at work, in your living room, and virtually anywhere! Our team of educators offers teacher professional learning, adult education, career exploration, and standards-aligned PreK-12 instruction. You can also find us exploring the neighborhood with our favorite PBS KIDS characters, such as Curious George, Daniel Tiger, and Molly of Denali!

Over the years, we’ve learned a lot together. Through our various educational programs, we are exploring media and design, engineering, robotics, space, energy, animal science, archaeology, history, literature, art, and more! And, like many of you, we like to explore in multiple languages and are curious about different perspectives. As our neighborhood changes, so do we. And we, too, are intrigued by innovation. Join us as we embark on our next discovery!
