October pick of the month: “Code Girls” by Liza Mundy
WITF is partnering with Midtown Scholar Bookstore on a Pick of the Month. Read along with us and discover books we think you’ll like. October’s pick is Code Girls by Liza Mundy. Mundy’s award-winning account of the American women who secretly served as U.S. Army and Navy codebreakers during World War Two offers a glimpse into a hidden chapter in American History.
Singed copies of the Pick of the Month are available at Midtown Scholar Bookstore in Harrisburg.

Liza Mundy will make an appearance at The Midtown Scholar during the Harrisburg Book Festival on Saturday, October 13th at 6pm. Mundy will take the stage with WITF’s Scott LaMar to discuss her fascinating book and a “story of courage and determination that makes you want to work harder and be better.” This conversation will be recorded to air at a future date on WITF radio.
