WITF’s Spelling Champ Competes at the National Bee

WITF would like to congratulate Eugene Lee on making it to the Scripps National Spelling Bee! During the preliminary rounds at the national bee spellers take a written test and get two words to spell orally. Eugene spelled “angst” and “eisegesis” correctly during the preliminary rounds, but did not qualify as a semifinalist.
Still, what an accomplishment. WITF would like to congratulate Eugene Lee on a job well done!
The 2015 Scripps National Spelling Bee ended in a tie for the second year in a row. The winners of the bee were Gokul Venkatachalam and Vanya Shivashankar.
