Scripps National Spelling Bee 2015

The Scripps National Spelling Bee is currently underway near Washington DC!  This year there are 285 spellers including Eugene Lee, the 2015 WITF Central PA Spelling Bee Grand Champion!  Here’s a look at the schedule:

Tuesday, May 26th
9:15-10:15am:  Preliminaries Test

Wednesday, May 27th
8-11:45am:  Round Two of Preliminaries live on ESPN3
1:15-5pm:  Round Three of Preliminaries live on ESPN3
5pm:  Announcement of Semifinalists
6-7pm:  Semifinals Test

Thursday, May 28th
10am-1pm:  Scripps National Spelling Bee Semifinals live on ESPN3
8pm-10pm:  Scripps National Spelling Bee Semifinals live on ESPN3

Eugene Lee, the 2015 WITF Central PA Spelling Bee Grand Champion, is speller number 206 in the national bee.  After almost three hours, Eugene was the last speller standing during the WITF Central PA Spelling Bee.  Eugene is an 8^th grader at Palmyra Area Middle School.  Good luck, Eugene!
