witf debuts ‘Smart Talk Friday’ radio program

witf ‘Smart Talk Friday’ Host Matt Paul and witf Capitol Bureau Chief Mary Wilson

Beginning Friday, October 25, witf will present Smart Talk Friday, a civic-issues focused special weekly edition of witf’s well-regarded daily interview radio program, Smart Talk. Smart Talk Friday is a fast-paced program that features thoughtful and engaging conversations about the politics, policy and people who are shaping Pennsylvania’s future. Host Matt Paul and witf Capitol Bureau Chief Mary Wilson invite multimedia interaction before, during and after the program using #STFriday.

Smart Talk Friday Politics: Smart Talk Friday provides timely and detailed analysis of the state and national politics through weekly conversations with political pundits. Former NPR political junkie Ken Rudin will chime in on the debut program and on a regular basis. Recognized local political commentator, Dr. G. Terry Madonna is also scheduled for the program.

Smart Talk Friday Community: Smart Talk Friday pays close attention to what’s happening in the community. From arts and culture, to sports and recreation and everything in between – each week the show takes a unique look at the community events that help make the midstate a great place to live, work and play.

Smart Talk Friday will air each Friday on 89.5 and 93.3 FM, from 9-10 A.M., and repeat at 7 P.M. Monday through Thursday, Smart Talk will continue to be hosted by Scott LaMar featuring conversations with newsmakers and experts in a variety of fields and exploring a wide range of issues and ideas, including the economy, politics, health care, education, culture, and the environment.
