(Denver, CO) –Â The Pittsburgh Steelers will have to face the Denver Broncos later today without two of their main offensive weapons.
All-pro receiver Antonio Brown and running back DeAngelo Williams are out with injuries. To make matters worse, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is dealing with a sprained right throwing shoulder and is still listed as questionable, though he did practice this week.
Those injuries will make it tough to accomplish what coach Mike Tomlin says is the key to winning; scoring touchdowns and not kicking field goals.
“Who we’re playing has got to be irrelevant. We’ve got to perform better in the red area than we did on Saturday in Cincinnati if we want to continue to advance in this thing,” Tomlin said.
Today’s game will be played in Denver. Â
The Steelers defeated the Broncos during the regular season at Heinz Field 34-27. Â In that one, Roethlisberger threw for 380 yards and 3 touchdowns. Â Brown caught an amazing 16 passes for 189 yards and 2 touchdowns. Â
He will be missed.
