I-83 SB to close at 9 AM South of Loganville

(Harrisburg) – Southbound Interstate 83 just south of Exit 10 at Loganville in York County will be closed to traffic starting at around 9 AM this morning. Southbound traffic will be detoured from Exit 10 (Loganville) by way of Main Street in Loganville and the Susquehanna Trail and then east on Route 216 back to I-83 at Exit 8 (Glen Rock).

The southbound closure of I-83 is necessary so that tow trucks can safely operate and retrieve a tractor-trailer hauling furniture that went off the highway and into the trees in the median at around 2:30 this morning. The recovery operation is expected to take about four hours to complete, and southbound I-83 is expected to reopen to traffic in the early afternoon today.
