Penn State looks bounce back against Purdue
(State College) — Penn State hosts Purdue today in the Nittany Lions’ next-to-last home game of the season.
Coming off a disappointing road loss to Minnesota, Coach Bill O’Brien is looking for consistency from his team.
“You know, it’s just a little bit up and down,” O’Brien said at his weekly news conference. “So we’ve got to try to smooth it out over the next few weeks starting with Purdue. We have to try to get it to where it’s on more of an uphill slant, as far as improvement goes, and not as much up and down.”
Receiver Allen Robinson’s 63 yards last week gave him the school record for receiving yards in a single season. Despite what O’Brien calls a “shoulder issue,” Robinson is expected to add to that record today.
Penn State has won 6 straight games against the Boilermakers, and hasn’t lost back-to-back games since it began the 2012 season 0 and 2.
Today’s kickoff is set for noon.
