Rare film set for showing in Harrisburg
(Harrisburg) — A rare film, once thought to have been eliminated by Germans during the Holocaust, will be shown at Chisuk Emuna synagogue in Harrisburg Sunday night.
The silent film, Yellow Ticket, will be accompanied with live music. It tells the story of a Jewish girl in 1917 living in poverty in Europe.
All but one copy was destroyed, and it’s been restored to be shown around the world.
Most of the viewings have been in major cities, but Chisuk Emuna members managed to bring the film to Harrisburg. The film will be shown at 7:30 PM Sunday. More details are available here.
