Explore in the Classroom

WITF’s Explore in the Classroom program is designed for kindergartners and first graders enrolled in school districts that support students and families with limited means.

Navigating the media landscape is challenging for adults and even more difficult for children. Research has pointed to children’s lack of understanding of reliable news sources, social media, and media in general. These challenges can be seen in struggles around critical thinking and problem solving.

Spelling Bee

Each spring, the WITF Central PA Spelling Bee invites 4th to 8th grade students from 11 surrounding counties to demonstrate their spelling knowledge as they attempt to make their way to the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

This program is designed to recognize and celebrate seven K-12 teachers in public and private schools in the Rotary District’s seven county area which include: Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York.
